I took my wife to see Journey in Houston Saturday night. I got the tickets as an anniversary present but the show was postponed because of hurricane Rita. They rescheduled it for Nov 5th which is my wife's birthday. How cool is that! The show was great and they even gave away a copy of their latest CD to everyone at the show. Neil did the Star Spangled Banner for his guitar solo and he rocked. We had a absolute fantastic weekend together and after all these years, I wouldn't trade my wife for all the money in the world. If you are a Journey fan, it's worth going for sure. They played for almost 3 hours and covered everything from the first record (before Steve Perry) all the way to the latest CD. Neil had three custom made Les Paul's with Floyd Rose trems on them (black, white, and a goldtop). Looked he had two Diesel heads on two unmarked 4x12 cabs and one Marshall halfstack. Johnathon Cain and Steve O'gerrie both played some guitar too so the Marshall may have been for Steve. I couldn't see what pedals Neil had on the floor but he had a great tone. I think I could get the same tone out of the Quick Rod for sure.

I don't think I could sit through any concert these days no matter who it was. After 20 years of live music I am done..... Glad you enjoyed it with your lady.
