Shred, I realize the guitar is sold. How did you get the SD pickups in the Axis do you or someone mod them to make them fit in?

you just gotta clip the mounts a little bit so they'll fit into the preformed screw notch in the body of the EBMM..duncans (and rio grandes actually) both have a wider mounting notch...it's got three holes....so you just clip it (carfully..lol) to leave nothing but the center screw hole with a little bit metal around it...doesn't really damage it..and you can put it in a guitar that'll accept duncan sized mounts if you wanted to later on down the line...I don't know why duncan makes them so wide...

and the rio grandes are the same way I noticed~! oh well, my tech'll have to get his tin snips out again when the time comes..lol

can't say I blame you! I had a JB in there and it sounded really good....the basswood/maple top really tamed the high end on the JB that it's infamous for....
