heheh..only reason we put the pedal in front of the splawn was to warm it up a bit at lower volumes..couldn't get it TOO loud cause he had a 6 month old napping upstairs..hahah

but by itself, the splawn was the tightest and really didn't need any pedals...commin' outta the cab...I didn't want the guy to have to rearrange his mics and such..lol...

it sounded great with both his cabs...he was diggin' it, straight up, alot..

but IMO, it stomped them by itself

next time we get a chance we're gonna open them up some more and record them without anything...

The Marshall was actually my least favorite tone by itself, and the most identifiable (to me), in a band situation, I'm sure that the Marshall would be a hot knife through butter. I had a harder time telling the XTC and Splawn apart. Both amps are so much thicker sounding...that's what I personally prefer...the XTC sounded a tad dark for my tastes...and of course, I love 1st gear on the QR.

^^^the marshall definetly cuts better.we jammed a little bit..I was usin' the uber boosted and the other guy was just playin' the marshall with no boost and you couldn't hear the XTC for crap..lol....the uber's definetly darker than the quick rod

I liked all 3 amps, in a band setting I bet they all sound great. I can't wait to hear more clips with more vol and no pedal. Don't wait to long shredder.

I bet in a mix you'd probably be beating your head against a wall tryin' to tell which was which...lol.....

if anyone's into boosting, I highly recommend that maxxon OD808..not as harsh as the OD9 (similar to ibanez tube screamer)

when my buddy and I can get our schedules synched up again, we're gonna do it =)
