Cool shreder.. bet that was fun! how did you like the greenbacks? or did ya get to crank em up? Just curious :-0
you can tell the splawn was #3, it stops fast at the end of the clip. although I missed one and two ( from reading the forum) got them reversed. all sounded good but I would like to hear the same thing without a pedal in front~
Edit: I am thinking the pedal added some of the overall character to the sound. they where all way too similar!! I read where these where all at low volumes? ( that may be a similar tone also?) so really none of the amps breathing into their own zone ??

hack,
yeah, they were all reasonably low...that's one of the reasons why we put the boost in front of the QR as well...
I didn't like the XTC or marshall nearly as much without the boost...we used the mid gain channel boosted on the bogner to get that tone...which was really really good...but by itself, the amp wasn't really my thing..not quite tight enough...definetly open though..not dark or anything...

ya,, it was pretty close on the sound for each amp, I was betting the other non splawn amps would need the pedal! LOL.. well XTC may have been fairly close...
Thanks for sharing the fun!

no problem, hack =) at volume, they were three different amps indeed...the QR being the tightest/most pissed off one of the bunch....
at the end of the day, i didn't have any gas for the bogner like I thought I would..and I realized I have the perfect amp for me...go me! lol

clip 1 is a marshall super lead..72 I think? second is a bogner XTC on the blue channel third is my quick rod
all boosted with a maxxon OD808..the QR was first gear, OD1..master at about 8:00, gain at about 2:00

Here's how I rank the clips as per my ear: Clip 1: 9.6 out of 10 Clip 2: 9.2 out of 10 Clip 3: 9.5 out of 10 All in all, very good tones Mr. Shredder.

I'd bet the Splawn would stomp all of them. That's the one thing I like about Scott's amps...nothing extra is really needed. It's just simple tone...guitar, cable, and amp...boom, there you go!
