Well, since everyone has clips up and I don't have any Splawn clips I figured I would post an old one of my band playing Red House by Hendrix. This was our first demo we made back around 1999 and we have since replaced the drummer. Excuse my raw sloppy playing but I was very rushed (we were poor) and I was about 19 or 20 at the time! I am singing on this tune as well . See if you can make an attempt as to what amp this was recorded with! I don't expect anyone to guess it but I will say that it is not a boutique or anything. Just not a normal amp that most people recoed with. This was the studios amp. The tone is nothing great but decent considering the amp is not high gain:). Here goes nothing.... www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=469115

Thats awesome Don,, I wish I could sing half as good as you do. Very cool man,, no idea what the amp could be. It sounds really clean though,, the effects sound kinda fake-ish so Im guessing a modeling amp of some kind?

After smoking all these years my voice is slowly going downhill:(, It is a clean amp but not a modeling amp. You are correct about the effects though. There is some crappy digital slapback delay on the guitar that was added in the studio. Sounds lame but that's how you learn. This was my first recording experience ever so I can't complain.

I won;t reveal the model becaue it is sort of rare to see so maybe someone will guess that. Oh and the pic has gotten us into alot of trouble with the vegetarians :) They get offended

TJ wins! (I don't know what). It was a Fender dual showman head. Sounded great for blues stuff once you cranked it. The soundclick streaming website certainly does no justice for the clip huh?
Yeah I smoke:( Man I want to quit so bad. Surfing, singing, and weightlifting just seem to clash for some odd reason!
