Thats exactly how I set my mic too,, same mic, same stand and same cabinet,, LMAO..
Great clip Matt. These dry clips really show the true colors of the amps. It sounds exactly like it does sitting in front of it, Awesome.

Cool stuff man. That BBQ p/up is friggin hot. I like the evolution p/up one. I used to be a huge fan of evolution and tone zone p/ups.

The only thing i didn't like was the way you were picking on the beginning riffs.. that annoying rake like almost false harmonics.. it really takes away from the chords.. I just assumed thats the way Norum did it...
Lemme ask you a serious question though,, why do you keep uploading cover clips? You should lay down some of your own riffage and blast some of those shreder chops over them.

I just assumed thats the way Norum did it... Lemme ask you a serious question though,, why do you keep uploading cover clips? You should lay down some of your own riff*ge and blast some of those shreder chops over them. ya know, I was thinkin' about this last night...and you're the first person to say something about it...but you're absolutely right..one thing that makes me ME, one thing that makes my tone MINE is the fact that I DO hit false harmonics on just about every cord I hit..always been that way...that and everytime I do a fifth or a perfect fourth, I just about always vibrato it... it's my attack..I might not be the quickest, I might not have the best phrasing, but I attack the sh!t out of my guitar when I play...lol...like you once told me, my right hand is like a hammer...lol....I'm very agressive with it.. as far as the cover clips...dude, i haven't written a full song in I can't remember how long...lol...some of that has to do with my recording setup...I dont' have a drum program for one thing....and I don't have any headphones to listen to tracks I've already recorded while overdubbing..so that keeps me from doing anything multi layered...

i usually have success setting the mike about an inch or two off of the center of the speaker cone. like maybe 1 inch down and 1 inch to the right/left. sometimes it sounds bada$$ is you record with 2 mikes - one close miked and the other about 6-8 feet away. i would just get some headphones and experiment with different placements.

I don't even own a pair of headphones. I hate listening to myself in headphones.. I turn the cab against the wall, cover it with a thick blanket and mic it.. the I run my drums and the tracks through my monitors and make them just loud enough where I can here both my live volume and the track.
