i actually own an hd147 right now. personally i can't stand the dual rec model. spinal puppet is my favorite. it's based off a hot rodded marshall sound i've actually gotten really good results from recording direct out with the hd147 using this amp model. for anyone interested, here are some of my clips, all done with the hd147, all direct out: www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=358837

I've owned and currently own some line 6 amps. I think you can pull some good tones out of them. Just takes some tweaking. Only thing that I don't like about them is that if something goes wrong with the amp (at a gig) you're finished. They're great IMO for home & studio.

That's happened before to me. With tube amps I can get them working again. My line 6 went down one night and thank the Lord I had my deluxe with me. It was something internally that got loose or something the tech said. Don't get me wrong, I like the line 6 gear. I just don't gig with it anymore.

I had a vetta combo for awhile w/ extension cab...updated to vetta 2 software...I sold it about a year ago...
anywho, a couple of the models I actually did like were the 5150, spinal puppet and the fuzz...
it's a cool peice of gear..pretty impressive peice of tech when you think about it..I don't think the models really sound like what they're supposed to model, BUT, you can get some decent sounds out of them..
just didn't have the feel or mojo that a great tube amp has to my ears...I liked the clean sounds I got out of it though...
