JEEEEEESSSSSSSSHHHH Motrock,, that Mr Big clip is friggin' sick dude. That Marshall sounds great and your hitting some REALLY hard chops on that tune.
What the heck are you using to make these clips.. someone please gimme some detail here. What did you use to make the backing track? How'd you get your guitar to sound that good recorded? Remember I'm a complete Mongo when it comes to home recording.

I think theres some good playing on my clips at different moments,, but notice, I have no bass, except for that one where I stole a blues backing track... and I can't end the clip.. and the drums on Dirrty Scary sound like Casio keyboard man, thats what I mean. LMAO.. It also has this muffled thing happeneing that I don't hear on your clips or Motrocks. On your clips you can really hear the amp on mine it sounds muffled. It sounds great coming out of the cabinet!!! so I know its not the amp or me.. I mean Motrocks clips sound like a professional recording. I just bought CakeWalk Guitar Tracks Pro 3. I did some research and heard its the best one to get for retards like me. I'm installing it on my laptop today,, so maybe this week I'll have something decent.

I had a version of guitar tracks for awhile..it was good stuff! I think that might help....you seem to know wha tyou're talkin' about when it comes to mic placement as well, so you should get some nice ones this time around =D

LOL Thanks guys! I about lost my guts trying to record them too! LOL Colorado Bulldog is just crazy. Paul Gilbert is the man!
Craig, I used a Yamaha AW16G all-in-one digital recorder with SM57. Thats it man! Plug and play. Zero EQ. I had to really dig into the manual on how to multi-track and add effects.....of which I don't like to use much! I am going to get a really good tube mic preamp and bypass the internal preamp of the AW16G. I want to take that sound to the next level! The things got a cd burner, so I can transfer it to my computer.

Cheeeit! Motrock, the killer Colorado dog from Illinois is on top of the game! 6 double cappachinos!!?? LOL. Excellent jammin. your lead with the bass in Colo-dog was tight, Prisoner has great overtones in it! awesome lead tracking, got's big sac! you sure captured the splawn well. Backing tracks, you just jam, nuthin like having pro's backing ya up.
Craig, good choice, its good stuff, I use cakewalk sonar pro, only thing better is digitools.

I don't have an excuse...I have decent gear and a great amp....I'm losing my 'ear' in my old age...it's hard to admit but I used to be able to really dial things in and now that I'm a bona-fide 'quatrogenarian' I need help with the 'production' end of things...in California I had a few friends that were engineers and have them over to mix some of my demos down for me (as long as I recorded flat) but now my clip/demos are downright embarrasing...so much so DirrtyCraig doesn't even think I can handle a Poison solo
