What I could tell in the pic was that it is a Marshall amp that was modded by Splawn. You can clearly see the holes in the front face panel where the Marshall emblem used to be. I just wonder how someone got the Splawn emblem, since I know they are not in the habit of sending out their emblems at all. If you look inside the amp and count the big tubes, or power tubes if there is two, then it is a 1987 marshall plexi, if there are four then it is a 1959 marshall plexi. If you remove the back look at the transformers if you are lucky they be Mercury magnetics. Then look and see if it has an effects loop. Last of all get the serial number and that will tell you what year it is and that tells you if it is a re-issue which it probably is or of it is an older original Plexi. Which it probably is not. Not sure but you might be able to call Splawn and ask them about it with the serial number. They may remember the work on this unit. GOODLUCK.......
