I'll definitely try and post some video samples. Also, my amp doesn't have the Mercury trannies, it has the Heyboer-Splawn upgraded trannies. Any difference?

Don't know.
I know that the MM are better than stock Marshall and Scott used to use them.

MM are more expensive. Today splawns have heyboer, they're cheaper but are still excellent.

I just retubed my Splawn modded Marshall 1959 SLP yesterday. JJ KT88's baby!!! Gawd this amp rocks!!!!!!!!! I love mine(and my Quick Rod!) I hope you enjoy yours. Cool! I would figure KT88's would make a Plexi even brighter, but I never tried a Splawn modded Plexi before, so I don't know. Does yours have the Mercury trannys? I also would love a manual! Is there a high and low input? From the photos, mine says 1 and 2. Eddie use sylvania 6CA7's Because in the 70"s they were easyier to get & cheaper than real Mullard EL34's. Beside the 6CA7 have a more dynamic range & a brighter top end sizzle that eddie is famous for. if this is the sound your looking for. Early EVH brown sound.
