My footswitch is crackling and making all kinds of noise. Will a standard 2 button Marshall footswitch work or does it need to be a special tip?

I talked to Scott today and I think I got it worked out.

That he is! Too bad all shop owners / amp designers were not as nice as Scott! He's top notch in my book!  I talked to Scott today and I think I got it worked out. I would think a standard-generic ring/tip/sleve 1/4in male and two button
footswitch will work, yes.
