Just retubed my Marshall SLPx Splawn with JJ's. KT88's and ECC83s......OMG.This amp can go from brown to brutal and some toasty cleans as well.Very similar to my QR but it has a certain something.. I really chuckle inside when I think of anyone who could say these amps don't have enough gain Man I love this amp.and my older version Quick Rod too. With plenty o' gain on tap,and fat ,throaty, best Marshall tone you ever heard in your freakin' life....very happy with the Splawns but, I want to get one of the newer version Quick Rods .Seperate EQ ,3 gears(footswitchable would be sweet). GAS is setting in.... Axemane

Gadsden is as far north as I have been with this band. Can you hook me up with some clubs in the Huntsville area? Isn't Sammy T's up that way?
Yeah dude the Splawns are the shee-it.

Sorry Axemane, I have zero contacts in H'ville. I was asking because I just recently moved to southern middle TN, and H'ville is not far from where I live. Thought I might get to check out a show if you guys played up here. I have some family west of Tuscaloosa, but none in B'ham or M'gomery.

I spent 5 years of my youth in Guntersville and I loved every minute of it. There some awesome fishing holes in the G'ville area!

Hey Patrick, Glad I could inadvertantly help bring back some good memories...lol... That's a pretty big lake over there. I can imagine that there's some good fishin to be had.
