I have a Marshall 2203x and am having most all the MODS DONE:
Standard MOD
KT88 QUAD SET
Heyboar Transformer
Rhythm Brown Sound
Modern High Gain
Clean Channel
Volume Boost Lead
I just had Mullard EL34s installed like 2 days before deciding to overhaul the 2203x and go Splawn mad!!!!!! Should I keep the Mullard in their or get the KT88s as suggested?? Are the KT88s that much larger sounding? more warmth and head room? I really liked the soundclip of the 2203x with these mods done.
GUess Ill go the KT88 route and see!!!Scott knows his tone!!
