, , Finally, I am able to thank Scott for the amazing amp, and tolex work. Scott, you are second to none, and the only one to answer my dumb questions until you figured out what I was really looking for . Hope to see you again soon!!! Sure hope these pics show up. The amps are amazing.

Thats cool man! How does that Lee Jackson amp sound? Just curious!
Hey shreder, I like the look of his case too. I am thinking that is they way I will go when I get my Quick Rod.

I picked up the cab from the shop. Scott had just finished it, and it sounded monstous. Red Fangs in an X pattern. After hearing his Quick Rod, I knew I had to have one, but I really didn't care for the stock headcase. We decided to use the pro Mod front, and match up the grillcloth with the cab. Looked Great when finished. I later had him do the Mesa cab, and Jackson head to match. What a great tolex job!!(Sent pics to Lee Jackson].
BTW Motorock, the Jackson sounds great. More a Metal amp. This amp is no longer in production, but he has introduced a pedal of this head recently, also named the XLS1000. Basically the preamp section of the amp.

are you just using that POD as an fx processor in the loop? if so, how's that sound?

To be honest, I'm not using it for anything but a tuner. The effects are pretty good, but after a while, you still hear that modeling " OING" sound in everything. After that, it's done. I actually use a TC chorus, Line 6 delay Moddler(very nice!) , Fulltone wah, and for kicking up the gain, and boost, a Bad Cat 2 tone. You should check into the last, not that the Quick Rod needs more gain, but gives it a over the top metal sound, and very quiet. Have a 100 watt Jackson studio Refrence I use this for on occasion. It bypasses your amps pre, and gives alot of tuning in options.

I hear that the splawn fx loops are pretty nice for pedals and rack stuff though....only thing is, from what I understand, there's no shutting it off... if you have a pedal in there, I guess you just turn it off via the pedal's on/off switch?

I know, I know, I went thru the Marshall thing 20 years ago. I wasn't looking for a Marshall clone, something a little diffrent. The QR box is beautifully done. But alas.... a Marshall box is a Marshall box, no matter what color you paint it.

Paul Gilbert sounded really cool through his Lee Jackson............so did Zakk Wylde on the No More Tears album.
If I can get rid of my Splawn Modded Marshall I might have to order the Quick Rod ASAP!
