Howdy - another newb here, with a pic of my favorite cab - Marshall 1960A modded by Scott with the x-patterned Celestions. It has served me extremely well in the studio so far. I believe this cab is also featured on Scott's website at this location: www.splawnguitars.com/images/marsh412modcanefrt.jpgThe amp sitting on the cab is a clone of a 1968 Plexi, built by Voodoo Amps in NY. Very cool for some of those old school laid back tones. Also have a Quick Rod on the way that I just bought on Ebay - very excited about that! Cheers to all! Scott H. Columbia, SC

You are correct, sir! Sorry - forgot to list that.
I'll post a pic of the Quickrod when it arrives as well.

I'm trying to decide on speakers right now. I have a Marshall 4x12 with 65 watt celestions in it that are waaaay too bright for me. I was thinking about using G12H30's or the Eminence Red Coat Governor's. Maybe two of each. How bright are the 75's?

My Splawn cab has 2 of each (Eminence) and those 75's sound great alongside the 30's. Way nicer sounding than my 65 Celestion loaded JCM 800 cab.

Craig said it all - no argument here.
