If it's thicker I think it may block a little more high end...there is actually a slight difference depending on what you put in front of the speakers. I don't think one's gonna sound like a fire rated blanket and the other like a cool summer breeze though. whatever that means.
I'll start it up: Eddie & MiniVH (Bruck) said there was a difference depending on what they used when they were testing the 5153 cab. so there has to be! ...yikes

Scoo...Eddie also said the only place you can get the EVH speakers are in the EVH cab...well one glance over at the Celestion site disproves that idea. There might be, but then again, Aliens might have built the pyramids...
