ok, I don't think these are gonna work in my cab. VHT sealed cab. it's a sealed frontloader and the sound I got last night at practice was horrible. really bright and no bass and raspy distorted but not good distorted. Almost like blown speaker bad. I had to turn the treble all the way down. It doesn't look to be the speakers at this point. even the clean channel was distorted. I talked to Scott a couple of times (it's not my wiring job - heh-heh they are in phase). I don't think they are seating into my cab correctly. I had to work a few of the screws in at a very slight angle but they straightened out. and the rim on the speaker is impeding the screw so it's tight but not flush. should be like this: o) but the screw head is resting on the outer rim instead. anyone ever get these types of symptoms with a speaker not seating correctly? Once again I'm not bashing the speakers...I was hesitant to even put this up - I don't want to bad mouth the speakers when it's probably the cab or the mount. Dude,if they don't work out for you, shoot me a message and I'll buy them from you.

In da house... two days early... imagine my surprise when the receptionist calls down:
"Matt, I have two packages here from Splawn Amplification??"
9 of my favoritest words ever.
However, I had to go see Poison last night, so have not as of yet turned it on. I will say this: it smells great. I don't know what kind of stripper oil they put on the box but it sure do smell purty. Another thing I will say: Going from a 4x12 to a 2x12 sure looks strange. Looks like a toy... but in a good way of course.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for rememberin'. Very quickly - I like it very much. I will try to give a more detailed opinion whenever I can get 15 child-free minutes of P&Q. Youse with children will understand that I have a 3 and 5 year old, it's Sunday, and they've been cooped up a good part of the day and Mama cooked cupcakes.
Scott Splawn and other potential buyers deserve the most honest and well-thought out intermediate-level opinion that this hack can muster.
