When you guys have cabs with two different kinds of speakers in an X pattern, do you/Splawn actually wire the speakers in an X pattern? I have a empty cab I'm using to experiment with speakers and I am mounting and wiring the speakers diagonally. www.soundcitysite.com/sc_webpages/parallel_series_x.pdf

I'm don't know what wiring diagram Splawn uses, but I used the same wiring diagram given by "Soundcity" that you mentioned (series/parallel) and it worked great. I used the Man-o-War and Governor.

So your cab is wired just like the diagram?
I'm trying Governor's and Greenbacks..........also tried Warehouse Vintage Clones, Hellatone 30's, Private Jack, Man O War.....Governor's, Greenbacks, Man O Wars are the favorites right now...

Yes, just like the Soundcity pdf. Use "twisted pair" wire when ever possible and solder all connections.
I restored and old, well built, Peavey cab. Next time I'll spend the money on one from Splawn. Way too much time and money spent on the old Peavey.

Can anyone tell me what the best wire is for the making these connections inside the cabinet and possibly where to buy it? The wiring harness in the stock Marshall cabs is really thin and cheap, but it looks like other better quality cabs have much thicker wire twisted together. Also, are there special terminals used to make the connection to the blade on the speaker? It seems that regular 1/4" terminals are a bit bigger than the spade on the speaker. I'm rebuilding an old Marshall cabinet with a combination of Weber and Celestion speakers and would like to make sure I use the best possible wire and parts.
