Well, here goes. I ordered a bottom cab through my buddy at guitar center straight from Marshall, or korg however you care to term it. The warehouse is in N.Y. so last time I got a top cab it only took 3 days. I wanted a cab to match my like new 1960ax marshall so this is why I orded the 1960 bx marshall. They come with re-issue greenbacks in them. Last time it came in the box and was perfect. I got it as a x-mas present from my mom. That is why I really don't want to part with it. Check this out. This time it took 2- weeks. For a cab that was already in stock this sucks. I go to get it. I only open the top of the box. Me and my buddy, G.C. manager notice some air bubbles in the tolex. He says take it home open it and call me if any things are unresolveable. I take it home open it. It had a tear on the front left edge of the tolex. It had been hit 3 times. The grill cloth was crooked at the top. Large check cloth has the stripes in it, so if it's not straight it looks crummy. The tolex had not been installed neat on 2 of the corners and was obviously done in a hurry. Since it had air bubbles in it. WHAT A PIECE OF S--T. I took it back today and got full refund. I will call Marshall or Korg, whoever tomorrow and cut them no slack. It will be hard to remain christian and decent when this gets disscussed, but I will try. I am out about 4- hrs. of my time . Gas travel and frustration. Waited 2 weeks and got crap. I guess this is what I get. I should have bought the Splawn. I just wanted a cab to match exactly my 1960ax cab though. I will call Josh tomorrow and see about the wait. Meanwhile also they have a Marshall cab they re-did and custom worked. I think I will check that option also. HOW DISAPPOINTING, THE MIGHTY MARSHALL HAS FALLEN. Maybe they should check into rehab. THEIR QUALITY SUCKS. SO SAD. Now I have a cab I don't have a match for, because they suck. ANYONE WANT TO BUY A CAB??? No match availeable. HE.HE.HE. I should have bought the SPLAWN CAB AND GOT IT MADE AS CLOSE LOOKS WISE AS POSSIBLE. They don't have Quality issues. THEY ARE TOP NOTCH. Marshall only wishes............

Wow, I almost bought one of those because I heard the greenbacks sounded good with the QR. After a bunch of research, I decided that A.) I don't have the room or the need for a 4x12 anymore and B.) Splawn was making one of the nicest cabs around. I just ordered a OS 212 to match my QR. I am glad you were able to get your money back. I am sure the Splawn guys will be able to build a cab that matches your other one looks wise and that is even superior to the Marshall. Good luck.

Hollywood, Another thing you want to keep in mind is that the only cab that Marshall makes now that is made of Plywood is the TV Cab. All others are that pressed c@ap material if I'm not mistaken. Scott's a marshall dealer, ask him and he will tell you.

Sorry to here that Hollywood But when we get use to Splawns,its hard to find anything to match their quality.

I called Korg/Marshall today. I talked to a nice guy in product support named Joe. But he had to send me to Customer service. I got the unique pleasure of being brain washed with a business perfect speech from a guy named Mike. They care, RIGHT. I was told to call back to where I purchased the cab. That the store had to handle all of the issues. I asked him, since Marshall made a sorry product why the store should answer for it. He diverted the question to a warm and fuzzy place called, Let's keep simple, simple. I let him know they had 1/2 a business day to show me some sort of jesture that resembled decency or they could shove it. My buddy the manager at G.C. called them and then called me. They are willing to 2nd day ship a new cab straight to G.C. left today. They wanted another day to decide about any compensation or discount on the cab if I decide to take it. I wonder if it will end up being another piece of crap?? Anyway, I am looking into a cab or two from Josh and Scott, that they told me about today. Hey I won't have this problem with them. And they didn't get on me about the whole thing which makes it even better. Those guys are cool. REALLY NICE!!!!!!! ;D I may buy their cabs and remove my speakers and just sell the empty stock marshall cabs. ;D Footnote- if marshall could always sell me a cab from n.y. warehouse to G.C. in 4 days before, and they can get one to G.C. in 2 or 3 days this time, then WTF was up with 2-weeks on the screwed up crap cab I just returned??? Poor company service and nobody cares at Marshall. That's what I think!!!!!!!!!

lol.. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE!!! I bought a new marshall 4x12 with greenbacks about 6-8 years ago.. outside box looked great.. I picked it up from the store about 100 miles from where I am. you know that gut feeling "I should of opened it up and look?" ya.. all the way home.. got to the house, opened it and its slammed in the lower left corner so hard it bent the frame on the speaker. I checked the omh'age of the cab.. looked good.. So I plugged in my marshall 100/100 rack amp, in stereo.. blaaaasted that cab until all four speakers where gone.. HAHAH.. it was fun for about 10-15 minutes poof.. then took it back. I figured since I had to travel 100 miles back to return it.. I should at least play it.

then the 2nd dumbest thing I ever did.. ok cool.. forget the cab, and brought home a DSL100.. blew up within 5 hours. lol.. took it back.. got money back. bought pizzia and a keg and had friends over. that was a much better way to spend the money.

Then came Splawn last year.. "I am much better now"

you dumbass hollywood.... I just ordered me my splawn cab today... Couldn't get my G12C's in it, but I got the G12H - heritages (not to be confused w/ G12H30's) and Emi Manowars in an xpattern in a white w/ cane and black pinstripe with hybrid slant! I am freakin pumped

Right on bro! I have one 4x12 on order, with the scumbacks h75-16hps.. then I will do one with the h55-16hps :-)

;D The re-issue greenbacks, of course.I like the v-30's in a bottom cab. But my #1 choice in speakers in a 4-12 cab for a Splawn is re-issue greenbacks, no doubt. But The v-30's give a good difference and carry you into a whole separate area. As far as tones go.I just thought they didn't go well in the top cab. It's like they need the help with extra bottom warmth that comes from the straight/ bottom cab. JOSH, As far as the dumbass thing goes. Hey ya can't be smart all the time, or ya head and ya azz swell up. And I sure as hell don't need that. I mean how would a fellow wear shorts??? Plus there's all that extra toilet paper, new draw's hey that sounds expensive. So I made a timely error. Just keepin it real. LOL. ;D

THE MIGHTY MARSHALL COMPANY IS DEAD!!!! I went to the local G.C. store today to open another new 1960bx cab at the store. That way me and the store g.m. would see if marshall/ korg just had one isolated mishap or they have a serious quality issue with their products. We opened it and it looked worse than the previous one. 3 of the 4 corners in the front were torn. Like they cut the tolex to short and tried to pull and stretch it to close the gap and the stress of what they did made it tear. PITIFULL. THE FRONT RIGHT UPPER CORNER had a loose piece of wood shaving that had stuck to the back of the tolex and they had glued it down to the cab and left it under there. The large check cloth was put on so crooked that a veteran naval officer would become seasick if he stared at the lines of the cloth with all their up and down travel. The tolex in all 4 corners on the interior of the corners on the front was loose. Just the most pathetic attempt of workmanship any of us had ever seen. They were'nt even going to attempt to sell this even at a discount. They were pissed. And they lose a sell and money. Me I still don't have a straight cab. Going on 4 weeks now. WHEW. Anyway I hope you guys read this and stay very clear of Marshall and their BULLS@#T. I am done with anything new from those sorry bastards.
