I have just bought a used Pro Stock head with the JJ KT-88's and I love it!! However, I play in a Christian Rock Band and the volume is BRUTAL but the tone is Excellent! Anyone had any luck with an attenuator that works, doesn't kill the amp, and most importantly, doesn't change the tone that much. Thanks for any help Gitrman65

You can use a Volume pedal in the effect loops.

Thanks snappinnecks! I got an omnisonic volume box and it did the trick! I couldn't believe something that costs less than $20 could solve my problem!

Is that the same thing as putting a volume knob in the loop, or putting a volume pedal through the loop? Or does it do something different?

Basically the same as a volume pedal in the loop, except it's designed for just this purpose as far as I know. My QR has the loop volume control in it. I've seen on other threads some comments along the lines of certain resistance values of some potentiometers in volume pedals work better than others. Not sure which were better, but I'm sure you could search the forum and find the info.
