What's up Markus, I hope you have earplugs and very understanding neighbors, cause it is LOUD!!!!!!!! I hope I put enough exclamation points on there. But I love mine it's got brutal distortion and a beautiful clean channel. If you use the clean channel, turn up the gain it seemed to make mine sound much better. Did you get the JJ KT-88's? Enjoy, but remember hearing loss is forever! Whaaat?

Congrats Markus and welcome to the club!
Did you get the newest version with the updated clean channel? I have the older clean channel and while it's not outstanding its not bad either. I think it sounds great but it's very dry and stiff sounding. I'm sure the newer version is much better, especially since you can throw a NOS tube in there for the cleans and really make it nice.
The overdrive channel is just awesome. Crunchy Marshall type overdrive with plenty of gain and amazing articulation. This amp never gets muddy or boomy. You won't be dissapointed there.
If you are used to overstaurated amps then the amp might feel weird to you at first but once you adjust to it the tone will blow you away (hopefully).

Hi Donald,
yes, it's the newest Version. But I don't care about the clean channel, important is the Overdrive Channel.
I hope too, that the tone will blow me away.

Nice, I don't care too much about the clean channel either. I really have no use for any real clean sounds. I like just rolling the volume back and still having some grit. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Hey Markus, When you get your Pro-Mod let us know what you think about it. Let me know how you think it compares with the Diezels. I played an Einstein at Guitar Center and was in the market for one until I got hooked up with my Pro-Mod!

Hi Gitrman,
yes I'll tell you what I think about my ProMod compared to my Herbert. I've played the Einstein too. It's a great Amp as well as the Herbert. What's in your opinion the Difference between Einstein and ProMod ?

What's up Markus, The Einstein was in Guitar Center, so I really couldn't turn it up that loud, but the Einstein is very similiar IMO to the Pro Mod. It has different settings on the gain channel, much like the gears on the Pro Mod. I think the one I played had 6l6 power tubes and I prefer the KT-88's. I think the Pro Mod had more bass push, but again, if I could have cranked the Diezel up it would have probably changed the sound considerably, but I would have liked to hear the Diezel with some 5881 power tubes to see what it sounded like. The main reasons I ended up with a Splawn is 1) I play in a Christian Rock Band and I think Mr. Splawn is a Christian, tryin to help a Brother out, you know! 2) A new 100 watt Einstein over here is over $3000.00 U.S. and the Splawn was almost half that! But in Germany, it's probably the opposite for you! But If you like every note you play to be heard and FELT, I think you will love the Pro Mod!
