After my last gig and last few practices I noticed my Pro Mod is sounding kind of lifeless and probably needs a retube pretty badly. I have had it for 2 years and never retubed it yet plus I bought it used and don't know if they ever retubed it.

So....I need to order tubes asap. I am thinking either Winged "C" KT88's or Tung-Sol 6550's. Anyone with either experience would help. Mine has JJ's all around and they sounded fine but I want to experiment a little.

Also pre amp tubes, I am thinking either stick with the JJ's or try the Tung-Sol reissues. I more concerned with the power tubes tthough because I don't know how to bias them and the tech I have to take it to is far away so I would like to get it done right the first time.

If there any Pro Mod users left please chime in, thanks.

He's the tube guru and I'm sure he's tried those tubes you're talking about.

They seem to get good reviews overall.
