Hey guys... Brand spanking new to the Splawn Forum. I've been hanging out on the JCF for over 5+ years and lately, a lot of my fellow JCFers have been picking up the Splawn Amps. I must admit, I've been pretty impressed with some of the clips I heard. In the last four years, I've played a TSL100 and just recently, moved to a JSX. I moved away from the TSL because it was lacking something, not really sure how to explain it but I just didn't like it 100%. One thing that I can say I know I didn't like was the FX loop. I found that it was a tone sucker. I had been in communication with Marshall and they said, "Yes, using the FX loop will rob some of your tone"...ok, on to the JSX... The FX loop and Clean channel...outstanding. I really dig this amp, except for those frigging mids. The sound I get from the amp sounds very compressed. I've learned to deal with it, not a big problem. So my question for your Splawn owners, how's the FX loop on these amps? Will it differ between the QR and PM? thanks! joe... www.godwentpunk.com

I think the QR and PM are essentially the same amp except for Voicing and power amp tubes. The PM is supposed to have more lower mids and the QR has the upper mids. The FX loop is the same series style loop.
