Would you feel comfortable doing it by yourself? I am not completely incapable of doing stuff like that. I have modded a few pedals myself but then again a pedal won't kill me if I touch it the wrong way! I would do it one more time with someone there... Ok, scratch that idea! ;D I'll probably just end up going to Edison and having that guy do it.

The first thing I'd do would be to see if something in my signal path was causing it. I'd plug straight into the head, turn the volume off on my guitar, and fire up the amp. That could rule out a majority of the ground hums (not necessarily a bad power outlet, though).

It may just be the power supply at the practice room too. I'll try it at the next gig.
