I am about to purchase a promod...currently I have a lp standard i replaced the bridge pickup with a 500t...It sounds great through my VHT deliverance head...but am afraid it will be too much power for the promod...I thought about the burstbucker pro models...any advice or input would be appreciated!

I have a LP Studio with stock pickups in and it sounds great. I thing it has the 500T but I am not sure. What do you mean my too much power? Are you afraid the amp will muddy up, because its really difficult to make this amp sound muddy. In fact, you have to work really really hard to get it to do that.

i have used hotter pickups than the 500t with my pro mod and have had only good results!i have a Les Paul custom and i have had a Duncan sh-5,EMG,PATB-1,sh-6(Duncan distortion) and i currently have a sh-4(jb) in it now and none of them over powered it and made it muddy at all! and by the way a played through a VHT deliverance head and if i wouldn't have a splawn i would have that(and also,i don't know how hard you were driving the vht but they have just as much if not more gain than a splawn so you will get close to the same results! so if you didn't have too much power with it using the VHT,you won't have aproblem with the splawn!!) the good thing is that the splawn has SO much versatility that you can run it a bunch of different ways to find what works with your guitar/pup selection to fit you music/playing style as well!
