Hey all......new to this forum. I currently have a Mesa Dual Rec Tremoverb but have just discovered Splawn through listening to sound clips and hearing about them on other forums. I gotta say that I am impressed with the Pro Mod. So much so that I am ready to launch my Mesa and buy one. I play high gain metal and this amp seems like it would more than deliver. I love that hot-rodded JCM 800 tone. Anyway, just looking for feedback from some people that own them because there is no way I can play one first. I would appreciate anything ya'll can throw out there on this head.

Thanks for that info man. My favorite guitarists are Dimebag, Randy Rhoads, EVH, & Zakk. Of course there are a sh!t load of great guitarists out there but those are my top 4. I listen to alot of 80's & 90's metal & thrash like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Sabbath, old Metallica (pre-black album), Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Overkill, Pantera, etc. I'm also trying to keep up with newer stuff too so lately I've been listening to bands like Lamb of God & Children of Bodom. I got sucked into that whole nu-metal tone hence the Dual-Rec but I have always liked the sound of the JCM-800 when it's pushed hard. I was contiplating buying a newer version JCM-800 but settled on the Mesa instead. Then I find out about these Splawns and I have to be honest, I've read alot of reviews on Harmony Central and other places and I have not heard one negative comment about them which is rare with gear. There is usually someone out there that doesn't like something. Your right though.....I think I need to take some pics tonight and get that head up on the bay so I can take the plunge.

Thanks again.
