I haven't had much time to mess with it, but so far the clean channel sounds just that: clean. As in lots of headroom and no breakup. You can crank the gain on that channel and it still won't break up, but it does change the character of the sound. I am looking forward to trying some pedals with it just to see how it reacts to things like phasers, flangers, choruses, vibes, etc.
