Hey guys,
I'm new here and just recently have been looking into Splawn amps. The one that caught my attention was the Pro Mod. In the past I've been strictly a Marshall guy, but from what I've heard, these Splawns might be changing my mind. To me they sound like a Marshall on 'roids, whicih I love.
I guess I'm just looking for some re-assurance in my new lust for this amp. It will be hard for me to find one to play before purchase so word of mouth and reviews are going to be a big part of my decision.
Thanks for your time!
Zach

Since you are a Marshall guy you will love what Scott has done...it's like the way you imagined a Marshall should sound. Don't wait another minute, PULL THE TRIGGER! Scott is also super nice to deal with, and that is a big plus for me as well. Later, Patrick

Thanks Patrick!
Anyone else???
Oh, does anyone know where I can get the dimensions for the PM head? It's not really that important, but I just was curious as to how big the head was.
Thanks, Zach

Hey!
As a Pro-Mod owner, I can assure you that this amp rocks! My suggestion is to go for it and you most likely won't be dissapointed. In the unlikely case that you don't like it (because of tone-retardation, lets say) you can always unload it easily to someone who doesn't want to wait to get a Splawn.
What type of music do you play? If you are more of an 80's guy (again because of retardation:) then the Quick Rod would be more up your alley. If you are more blues/hard rock then the Pro Mod will satisfy. Hope that helps. Good luck!

hahah DonaldDemon still has this thing against 80's rockers.. LOL I am bettin one of those 80's rockers stole his girlfriend? Pro Mod Rocks, as do the QR.. I bought mine the QR same way. ordered it with out hearing it. so trust the ears.. what you hear on the splawn site, IS what you get. I havent looked for another amp since I got the amp. which is unlike me, as I have went through almost all of them. severe gear accumilation syndrom!

Hey Thanks,
Yeah, I'm more into the hard rock tones, although I do love some of the 80's as well. I really like Zakk Wylde's tone on his early Ozzy stuff.
I'd like to get a Pro Mod, but I emailed Scott and he can't get exactly what I asked for. I checked with him about a black pro mod with a cane grill, white chicken head knobs, and a black control panel. Scott said they can't do a black control...only white, gold, or silver. That makes me sad. I really think it would look KILLER. I will have to see what I can do about that.
Thanks for the input, keep it comin' dudes! ;D

I've been emailing Scott, but he doesn't want to offer a black control panel. Oh well. I'll just have to customize it when I get mine down the road.
