Hi there!
I had to sell my mesa boogie markIIIC+ but I'm pretty sure its going to be worth it!
I'd love to hear from any peeps that gig with a splawn how well these babies cut through the mix? Experiences?
I'm using a Gibson Les Paul, Marshall 1960bx(with greenbacks) and when it arrives a Pro-Mod. So I'm hoping these speakers will kill with the pro-mod.

Welcome to the ProMod club! Looks like we are growing in numbers a little. We need to catch up with those Quick Rod people. You are going to love the ProMod! It is huge and tight! The only thing that might throw you as compared to the Mark III is the clean channel. It wont even be close to the Mark III's, but the gain channel is to die for!

Yeah the Mark III had an amazing clean channel. It's ok though cause I want the high gain/articulate sound that the Splawn amps have : )

Hey man, Welcome to the Pro Mod club! I gig with mine and it cuts through beautifully. I am also in a 3-piece so I don't have to battle another guitarist. Even if I did, I think it would cut right through.
The voicing in excellent for live situations. I play mine through a Bogner 4x12 cab w/ V30’s so I can’t comment on how the greenbacks will sound. I would be interested in hearing that myself. I have also played mine through a Mesa Recto cab (not a good sound) and a Marshall 1960B cab with Gt-75’s (sounded good but less mids). I like my Bogner cab best so far. I would like to hear it through a Splawn cab sometime too.

haha : ) Yeah seriously who needs a fruity clean channel? j/k I've got some G12-H30's that I want to try out in an X-Patern with my greenback cabinet, but I don't know how to wire it : ( Plus I don't have the Pro-Mod hear to experiment with the combination. I won't have all the speakers when it gets here either cause I gotta sell 4 of them to support that boy boy pro mod hehe.

Welcome! splawn has the perfect sonic signature for me in a mix.. puts the guitar where it belongs.. plus blends well, ( QR owner here) so I would say it doesnt have to cut through.. its in its place in the mix and dominates when needed. and from hearing the pro mod clips.. its the same with different sonic's.

Yeah I was told that the QR and PM got the exact same lead gain circuit board and only difference is tubes. Does anyone know what the old PM circuit board was like vs the QR and current promod? I've heard its an improvement, and I don't doubt it from the clips ive heard. I wonder what running 2 Splawns at the sametime would sound like ?

Yeah, I would love to have a QR to run with my ProMod at the same time! That would just be insane!

I saw 2 Quick Rod heads in the Diciple thread *Brads rig*
It looks like only one is turned on though or maybe both?
Scott told me Rich Ward is getting a Splawn Competition to run at the sametime with his Pro-Mod. I hope he's got both amps running when Stuck Mojo comes to California. It would be sweet to hear a ProMod and Competetion at the sametime.

I would love to try a qr and pm together. Or hear a clip of each playing the same song to compare the tones.
