Okay, just got my Pro Mod today and the gain channel is incredible. Everything I had hoped for. The clean channel I need help with. I know the gain channels settings effects the clean like the 2205/2210's. Any tips to get it to clean up better. I tried running the mids all the way down like Shreder said to on the QR but it didn't really help. I have Gibson LP's with high output humbers and that's probably what is doing it. I turn the neck pickup volume down a bit and use it and it helps, but I am not the greatest at switching pickups and pots quickly.
On the other hand, the clean channel on the Pro Mod likes my OD pedals pretty well if I keep their drive/gain down. It is almost like adding crunch channels to the amp.

I replied on HC to this. I have a LP with high output pickups as well and honestlly, I don't just use the clean channel much so it doesn't really bother me. I also use a volume pedal to clean things up a bit. I just got a TS9 and I am thinking of using that on the clean channel for a bluesy tone live. I just thought of something. I have had my PM for about 4 months and I have never used my Strat through it yet! I guess I have been digging the LP though it so much I haven't brought the Strat to practice yet. I guess its time I do that!

Well...it's probably a bit tricky but what I do with my SLO is utilize different patch EFX levels in my proccessor to add EQ and headroom mainly on the clean channel. If you don't use an EFX proc. in the loop...disregard. The volume control on the guitar is critical to help me clean away some of the bite as well. It also might help to drop the pickups a tad too. Good luck man. TIMMMAAAYYY!!!
