Well...........................HUGE is the first adjective that comes to mind! This thing is a beast. I love all 3 gears. Right now I am playing it on third gear with the gain on 12:00 and the OD2 engaged. I am also usint the Solo boost as my main volume. I think it adds to the HUGENESS just as Scott said it would. This thing is so tight yet not dry sounding. Not to pat myself on the back, but I thought that this thing would make me sound sloppy and reveal my double picking imperfections but it actually makes me sound tighter. I must have had pretty good picking technique all along but the Bogner's just can't quite keep up. Now to one negative. I knew the clean channel would be the weak point, but I thought it would be a little better. It is definately affected by the gain channels settings, especially the gain knob, just like the good old JCM 800 2205's. I am still tweaking the "clean". I use a lot of effects on my clean tones. I don't really need a great clean tone, but this breaks up really easily. I am tweaking some of my effects levels, but I don't think I am going to be able to get exactly where I want. I think I am going to have to get a lot better at riding the volume on my guitar. But the gain channel more than makes up for it. Just massive. You can hear every note in a chord. It has a nice brighter top end than I am used to, but it is not harsh. Right now by settings for the gain channel are:
3rd Gear, OD2
Presence: 2:00
Bass: 12:00
Middle: 3:00
Treble: 4:00
Gain: 12:00
Man get this thing up to 9:00 on the volume and watch out!
