It's just like Shreder's. I know, I am not very original but it is a Pro Mod not a Quick Rod.

I think after people listen to dropthisd's Competition KT88 clip, we might see some more people buying Pro Mods or Comp. KT88's. I was on the fence about the Quick Rod or the Pro Mod before I ordered it, but I do believe I made the right decision especially after dropthisd's new clip!

I was on the fence to believe me, but a chance came up to grab a new PM so I took it and couldn't be happier. I am more into modern tones anyway and I LOVE the low end on the PM!! No other amp I have played gets such a clear tight low end thump. Phil's clips got me wanting a Comp too now !

I am used to the Uber's huge low end, it just wasn't as tight as I would have liked it. I am hoping that the Pro Mod delivers this. I don't need it to sound quite as big as the Uber. I am having it delivered to my work. I will find it hard to stay if it comes early but I have to cause I have meetings in the afternoon!

I really can't explain how good the lows are. The whole tonal spectrum is so articulate it might throw you off when you first play it. I was used to a super saturated loose gain and once I learned that the Splawn was the opposite with a tight and percusive articulate gain it threw me off a bit. I had to clean up my playing some! when people say this amp stops on a dime they are exactly right!

That's what I like to hear. I don't mind having to tighten up my techinique with the Pro Mod. I am actually looking forward to it. I have a feeling it is what I have been wanting my rig to sound like the last year or so. We shall see in roughly 24hrs time. I am hoping I wont be able to wipe the smile off my face for days!

That seems to be my outcome. It was the sound I was hearing in my head and struggled with other gear to get there. The closest thing I liked was the JCM series but this thing smokes those! It loves to be cranked btw and really shines in a band situation. If you are playing live with this you'll love it, if its just fro bedroom playing than it may be too much for some!

!!! ATTENTION !!! PRO MOD has landed! It was a close call though. I told Scott to send it to my work address, but he accidently sent it to my home address. After I found this out, I went home and left a note on the door for him to have the neighbor sign for it or call my cell and I would be there in 5 minutes. I also called FedEx and told them I wouldn't be home. They said that no one else could sign for it but me, but they would have the driver's dispatcher tell him not to deliver it until after 3:30pm. I said that is cool. Well, the drive must have just read my note and decided to just leave it and sign for it himself. Lucky I live in a good neighborhood. Anyway, long story short it's here! I just got it unpacked and put the tubes in it. Now I am just waiting for it to warm up to room temperature for a bit. Everything looks perfect and cool. The only thing I am not really happy with is I did not realize that when you got the whit panel it was just a glued on piece of plastic. Had I have known that I would have just left it the gold anodized color that the chasis is. I thought it would be powder coated white. Oh well, as long as it stays on there I guess it's okay. I can't wait to crank it up. It better blow me away! I will report back later. -JC
