A couple of questions here. My O.S. (old school) PM needs new tubes. I'm going to get matched pair JJ's, or EH's. Which ones would any of you guys recommend? I've used EH's in my other amps, with very good results. My PM came with mis-matched KT88. Seconed, Once I get new tubes, would the amp have to be re-biased, or are Splawns' "self biasing?"

i would assume the jjs are the way to go since scott charges an extra $100 for the upgrade, but i have a quick rod so i don't have any experience on the kt88s. i know the jj is considered a higher quality tube overall, though.
and i would definitely have the amp biased. especially if it came with a mismatched set. it isn't that expensive to have done and it will make sure everything is running correctly, not to mention get the best tone out of the amp.

I have tried a bunch of tubes in my Pro Mod because I had them laying aroound and sure enough, the JJ's that it came with sounded the best. They really seem to be the best tubes for most Marshall style amps. I would suggest getting it biased if your original tubes were mismatched. That could throw it off some.

I too have the old-school Pro Mod and love it's simplicity.
Mine shipped with the JJ's as well, and I recently re-tubed it with a matched quad of SED KT88s. Luckily they were within a very similar tolerance to the JJ's and the amp did not need biasing (so says my very experienced amp tech).
They sound GREAT in the Pro Mod, too. Slightly smoother top end and a ballsier low-midrange. Not a big dif. by any means, but I made a direct comparison and there is some difference.
