Ahem...Does anyone use Celestion V30's with their Pro Mods and if you do what cabinet? Also, what do you like/dislike about them with that amp.
I have been using various cabs at the rehersal studio with different results. The Marshall 1960A which has GT75's, I believe, has a very balanced tone but somewhat dry with not much mids. The Mesa Traditional Rec cab w/ V30's has more life but sounds dark and flubby at times. I'm sure the speakers are not in the best shape from kids cranking their amps.
I ask because I have a Bogner 4x12 cab w/ V30's which I think is the best V30 cab I have ever heard. I have always favored this cab with every amp I own and have been blown away by it but I am not sure about how well it works with the Pro Mod. I wonder if the Splawn cab w/ the Eminence combo would actually sound better because of the higher wattage the amp puts out. It might handle it better than 30 watt speakers. Anyone?

Vintage 30's are 60 watt speakers...if you like the Bogner don't change...or, maybe change the speakers out to Eminence...

I would probably just keep that the speakers in it and get a Splawn cab if I thought the Eminence sounded better.
