I'd like to know if the clean channel on the new dual EQ versions also have adjustable gain controls, or if the amount of gain you dial in on the lead channel dictates the amount of gain on the clean channel. Anybody ?

The pregain on the overdrive channel does impact the clean channel, but not as much as it does on the older Pro Mod's. The (clean) head room on the new Pro Mods (w/ separate EQ's) in much better. If you dime the gain in the overdrive channel, your clean channel tone may warm-up some, totally depending upon your pickups and picking. My McCarty pickups are lower output than any of my Les Pauls so I can crank up the gain more without compromising my cleans. However, my PRS Singlecut Trem. pickups are ultra high out and the clean tone breaks up quite a bit with the gain past 12. The stock Les Paul pickups (Burst buckers & 490/498's) work well in the clean channel. I really love the tone of the Pro Mod clean channel through either of my Bogner 4x12 (2 V30s and 2 12Hs) or Bogner 2x12 (V30s). The KT-88's in this amp provide cleaner highs, as well as awesome tight lows. I hope this helps.

Thanks. I've still got to experiment a bit to see what she can do. I havent really been able to open up the clean volume. I was hoping on the newer versions the clean signal didnt depend on how much drive youve got on the distorted side. So far the only way I can get a really clean sound is with the drive at four or lower. It also helps if I split my humbuckers and/or roll back the volume a bit.
