V1:tungsol 12ax7 highgain
V2:JJ 12ax7 highgain
V3:JJ 12ax7 highgain
V4 JJ 12ax7 stock(I believe the stock tubes are all standard)
I was thinking of trying somethig else to send the head into sonic meltdown any suggestion???

I'm uses in stock now. I tried some RFTs in v2/v3 and I liked it better, but I use those tubes in another amp. I need to order more but they are $40 each so it hasn't been the highest priority. I have some Tungsols I want to try but haven't got around to it yet.

^made it a little warmer and thicker. They are higher gain tubes as well. RFTs do this to most amps I try them in. They are my favorite pre-amp tube - they are just damn expensive. I'm hoping the Tungsols or the high-gain JJs get something close to the RFTs so I can just buy those instead.
