About a year and a half ago I ordered a Splawn Competion. I thought it was to bright and way to loud for home use. I did appreciate how clear and articulate it was at high gain settings. But at the end of the day I just couldn't mesh with it very well. The Nitro seems like those issues I had might have been addressed with this model. Is it warmer? More liquidy in feel? Usable at home volumes? What is the current wait time?
Thanks, Jim

Jim, Hey, good to see you here! The Nitro is definitely warmer and more liquidy than the Quick Rod and Competition but still tight and articulate. This could be an amp that would be a keeper for you for a long time. I sent you a PM too.

If you are interested in mine, the wait time is about 3 business days via fedex. It's listed in the For Sale forum.

hey man i own both a nitro and a QR. the competition is supposed to be very similar to the QR in terms of voicings. i would say that the nitro and QR are two very different amps. the nitro is a noticabely darker voiced amp. it's got a lot of low mids, where as the QR has more upper mids. the nitro is a bit saggier but it's still very tight and responsive. i actually think i may favor leads more on the nitro just b/c it's a bit more liquidy in it the feel.
