Hey Buddy,
Still loving the QR! Thanks again. I'm thinking about picking up a Nitro as well. If you decide yours isn't working for you, let me know !

The Nitro harsh? What kind of tubes and speakers are you running?

Give it some time and tweaking. I had the same issue with mine and was very discouraged at first (just read my thread). I think its probably due to my v30 cab. I bought an MXR 10-band eq and that helped alot. I run the resonance around noon to 1, presence around 11 to noon, Bass 11 to noon, mids 10 to 11, Treble around noon. Without the eq I run the presence and treble lower. Gain on about 10 with boost or on 2 without.
What cab/speakers are you using?

I am running it ith my 2 vader412 cabs(480watt eminence),running the kt77's,and stock JJ preamp tubes.I am going to try some HGJJ 12ax7 pres next round.I just unboxed it and fired it up today for the first time so I am going to give it some time.I wouldn't even run it against my powerball today because it may have made me get rid of it prematurely.the first thing I did was crank the resonanse and bass to see how it would react and it wasn't good.after tweaking it a bit I relized the resonanse acts kinda strange after noon it seemed to get overly compressed.

honestly bro, i set everything at noon and just tweaked the gain from there.. there is no way the nitro is a bright amp. i have actually struggled to get it to cut throught the mix live. my settings now are: bass maxed, treble and mids 2 o'clock, resonance 10 o'clock, gain 2 o'oclock
