does the solo boost NOT automatically kick in the OD2?? i was messing around with it a bit today and i noticed that the OD1/2 button makes a difference in grind even with the solo boost on. this is the first time a sat it up for the solo boost to be on and i hit the OD button by mistake and noticed a gain change. i know on my pro mod when you hit the solo boost it went into OD2 as well but is this true on the nitros?? also check your resonance knobs people, mine the lower you have it the more it pushes the bottom end,on my 5150(2) it was the higher you turn it the more it pushed the low end. either way i have it driving nails into the wall at 10 feet right now i LOVE,LOVE,LOVE this baby!!! maxon in front, OD2, gain at 3:00, volume at 9:00,drop b tuning this bad boy will change your life!!! (as well as your gender if you sit in front of it!!)

i probably should have looked on the home page before posting this topic.it actually has a nitro owners manual and it says it is the solo boost only, and does not add od2 with the change into solo like the other amps(pro mod/quickrod) DUH!!!!

I noticed the something as well with the resonance knob. I too had a 5150 II. And as you stated, it did do the opposite. It didn't bother me either way. As far s the solo boost? I haven't really left OD1 yet! I'm to busy writing school papers! DAMN college education!!!

It's not just you...the Resonance knob does seem to act backwards from what I'd expect. The lower it is, the more bass it has. The more you turn it clockwise, the tighter the signal seems to get.

you guys think so? turning it up does seem to compress it and thicken things up but turning down i find makes is sound more open and tighter at the same time, but not bassier.

Yeah, that's been my experience so far. Turning it counter clockwise seemed to add more sub-lows to the point of being "boomy," where as turning it clockwise compressed the signal a little more and tightened up the sound overall. Seemed that way to me at least. I'll give it a good listen today or tomorrow when I play again.
