Yes Please, How does it compare to Herbert, because I have a Herbie myself, and Ive found NO! amp to rise above it.I ordered a Nitro hoping for it to compliment the herbert, not really compete with it.I also have a mesa triple recto and a marshall jvm,i have been running the jvm with herb,Nitro will probabaly bump the jvm to 3rd place.I like the diezel running together w/jvm modern and british roar together, but always want to turn the knobs on the jvm another quarter turn, esp low end, making it grunt more.

Thanks guys. Well, I got to play it for about an hour and half last night. I like it a lot. Compared to the Diezel, I think about the same level of tightness but the Diezel has more of a hi-fi chewy tone (if you know what I mean) to it so I think the Nitro feels a little tighter when playing. I don't think it is as tight as the Fireball but it sounds thicker and a lot more clear. After getting the Nitro, I just traded the Fireball today for a Mesa Roadster. I used to own this particular Mesa so it will be nice to get it back.
Of the three amps, the Nitro has the least amount of gain on tap - though it still has a ton of gain. To me it is reminiscent of my old 60 watt VHT Deliverance but with a more saturated gain or my old Bogner Uberschall but with a tight low end and a higher level of clarity.
In then end, it's unlikely that I'll find an amp that I personally like better than my Diezel Herbert. The Nitro is a great amp though and gives me what I was looking for in terms of a complimentary amp with a different voicing and feel.

Just as I suspected, nothing will rise above the almighty HERBERT in that territory. but the splawn being a different animal, do you feel it has a extreme roar like a marshall but way bigger growl? as all have said the low end is there, is it a LION in heat?

I personally owned both a herbert & a vh4s & the quickrod (not nitro) blew them both away. Most of the herbert's gain was almost unusable because it became to saturated & almost sticky sounding. -Brent
