wow! that thing looks stunningly awesome matt! congrats. how are you liking it? Thanks Windsen. I like it alot. I need more time to dial it into my liking though. I've found some good low gain settings, but I'm not quite 100% on the higher gain stuff. What settings are you using for that?

for high gain i like to run the gain @ around 3:00, resonance around 10:00, presence and bass around noon, mids around 2:00, treble around 1:00.
what exactly are you unsure about with regard to high gain stuff? i noticed the master is also pretty low, which is fine. a cool trick is that you can also tweak the solo volume knob to thicken things up at low volumes. also remember to have the fx loop off at low volumes.

^cool. I'll try those settings. I guess it's just controlling the low end and getting a nice palm mute. I probably won't be able to really turn it up until the weekend. Everyone is sleeping now. It can be loud - just not ear splitting.
What do you mean by tweaking the solo volume knob?

oh no, i totally understand about not being able to crank it now.
i find keeping the resonance knob low helps to tighten things up even more as well as tames the low end. rolling back the bass knob too to around 11:00 helps.
what i meant is if you turn down the master volume all the way down, the solo volume can actually be used as a volume control at low volumes (just don't step on the solo boost haha). you can also "blend" the two, turn up the master a bit, then turn up the solo a bit to get a thicker tone at lower volumes. it's pretty cool.

i also find playing in 50 watt mode helps tame the low end as well. that's just a personal preference.

I was supposed to get my Nitro yesterday but it got shiiped to my billing address instead of my shipping address. I have to go to FedEx today and pick it up. Then...i have to come up with a good reason to tell my wife why i bought "another" guitar amp. I'll think of something on the way home. kirkster
