For myself and a few other on this forum, we are eagerly anticipation the arrival of our Nitros tomorrow. The suspense has been killing me and soon I will know first hand what being a Nitro owner is all about. Until that happens I am wondering from those have had their Nitros for a bit if they had had any regrets making the purchase. I know I had to have a Nitro when I saw the video of Scott doing his demos. Does your amp live up to the demo. I know that a lot of the tone is in the fingers, but I have heard a lot of sounds clips of amps that just don't deliver once you get them home. I need to know...does the Nitro disappoint in any way?

kirkster, most of the sound clips of the nitro out there have been put out there by me. since i am no expert on recording it's hard to capture what this amp can really do. i try to do the amp justice but i am not there just yet =/
the video of scott previewing the nitro in his shop is one of the best representations of the amp out there in my opinion. the amp sounds absolutely massive. it's an amp you really feel when you play it both in terms of the responsiveness as well as the low end that it puts out. i have absolutely no regret getting this amp. love the amp more and more evertime i play it.

Kirkster I don't know how anyone could? Now, I don't personally own the Nitro but I was there at the convention when it was unveiled....and it was just awesome sounding! What kind of music do you anticipate playing through it? BTW...I do own a QR and am familiar with the looooong and painful wait. ;D The only disappointing aspect of the whole deal was that I couldn't crank the amp up when I got it cause the kids were asleep....now that my friend will drive you MAD!!!

The only thing I regret, is that I don't have the time really to run it through its paces. I'm so hugged up with school and family (the boy) that as of right now, it's just a great conversation piece! LOL!! Since it's arrival, I've only played it twice for about an hour at a time. From what I've heard so far, I love it! I just wish I could play it more and really get into it!

let me think about this for a second............NO!!! i really had a chance to rip it up with the nitro i got and it lives up to all the hype and then some! i can see why some people would like the quick rods more but that is because that amp does a better job getting them the sound they want, not because the nitro sucks.you can get a good quick rodish sound from it but it is like buying a corvette z06 to drive around town and get groceries it does it,does it well but...it is not what the thing does best!! this IS a modern metal amp and makes no excuses for that fact.
i have had the chance in my amp search to play a TON of amps and i will say that this is the amp i have been looking for, this is what i wanted my pro mod to sound like and why i looked at the vht del.120 and evh 5150(3) when it didn't turn out to be everything i wanted, please do not get me wrong my pro mod was a great amp just not exactly what i wanted(darn close, hairs away but not IT). my hunt is over and i got what i need to make me happy.i am really glad i held out and did not make a purchase that i might be looking back on and regret doing it.
if you play newer metal and want a amp that fills all your needs for nasty yet still sounds better than the slew of other modern metal amps due the fact it still has the all important TONE with it's brawn then look no further.

I've had mine for a few weeks now and played 2 gigs with it.. I also have a older Pro-Mod that I got about 2 years ago, but wasn't that thrilled with the clean channel. The Nitro rules.. The new clean channal is a lot better, and this thing has a ton of saturation and lots of punch.. I was really surprised how much more you can "feel" the pick hitting the strings.. I don't know how to explain it any better... But I love this amp!
