Here it is guys, loaded with mullard el34s. Very heavy tone from this beast,you have to run the gain at about 9 oclock in od1 to get close to the quick rod. For pure 80's stuff the quick rod is the winner but if you dial this amp back it will do a good 80 tone but where it shines is when you start to twist the gain to about 12 oclock. Wow.

Windsen I figured you would like it, the only difference is i got the silver chassis face plate. Like you said its different than the qr in the overall voicing. I only got an 1/2 hour on it today and it sounds mean. I have a set of kt77 I might try just for kicks but I didn't care for them in my quickrod when i had it. I understand why you got another quickrod now, you need both. ;D

I'm still waiting .I talked to josh @ rebel amps a couple of days ago and he said it will probably be the 1st of the year .
I'm temped to pick up another cab for the nitro but I've got no where to put it .

Hey Art, is that a Marshall cab you have it on top of?

yea it is a marshall 1960 loaded with 2 g1275's and 2 vintage 30. Seems to sound good, I don't have any access to any other guitar cabs to try the amp with. The only other cab i can try is a standard 1960 4 g1275 which is a friends. Art

Update. I just switched the mullard el34's to a set of kt77's I had and they seem to fit the nitro perfect. I was suprised on how bright the nitro can get with the el34's. Art

i talked to Scott a couple weeks back and he said mine was now slated for the week of x-mas and to ship out this week or next(i didn't really understand the whole holiday thing,i didn't know if he was counting the x-mas holiday or the new year holiday also) but anyway my pic should hopefully be up soon and then i will have it soon afterwords. oh the anticipation!!! the fact that i have been ampless since 10/10/07 is KILLING ME!!

the date i was given was dec 8th when i first ordered it and the first time i talked to josh at splawn. i was just told a few days ago that i was scheduled for this wednesday the 9th so you should be close.

Cool. Thanks for the info Brian. I'm just grippin for it. I sold most of my gear to get this head and have been playing through solid state a@@ while I await the new head. Can you say SUPER STATIC!! Solid state 2 channel amp with a digitech infront is almost as bad as chinese torcher. Play a chord and your brain starts clicking! lol

I got my Nitro Friday and played a gig on Saturday! All I can say is wow! I love it. I got EL34's in mine and I'm glad I did. I'll be puttin' my Pro-Mod on ebay in a day or two.

Glad to see the orders are getting out. So it took about 14 weeks for pageplayer to get his. Not too bad.
