I play in a band called Seventh Day Slumber EMI/BEC. (www.myspace.com/7thdayslumber) We're not playing colliseums by ourselves. We play a lot of youth conventions and things like that. Some of our festivals we play are in Colliseums, Large concert halls, things like that. Usually the shows are pretty big. I get to crank my amp pretty hard. It'll be fun bringing the Splawn on stage now.

I just realized that I called the speakers in my old Marshall, G75s. In case you were wondering what I was talking about, I meant to say G12T-75s.

Killer amp dude! Looking forward to read how the marshall (g12t-75s) compare to the splawn cab. I plan on getting a splawn amp but sine I live in Norway I´ll probably go for a standard g12t-75s marshall cab.

I just checked out your myspace .Cool tunes . I want to pick up your cd. I'm kinda new to contempory Christian music . I have a hard time finding stuff I like .I listen to a local Christian radio station ,They don't play any heavy stuff so I've learned to like the what they play . My wife and I are currently writing some Christian tunes and working on recording a demo at home . She sings (we met in a band its not the yoko thing ) and I try to play guitar . Its really going at a snails pace and I'm not getting any younger . I'm one of the older members here . I sometimes think that if this is what God wants from me why is it so hard . Then I'm reminded all things in Gods time not mine. Anyway just wanted to say God bless and keep up the good work Oh also those tunes will sound even better coming out of a Splawn ;D

Thanks Splatter. You should be able to find the disc at Wal-Mart. If you have a Christian bookstore near, you should buy it from there. Support the small guys...you know. Anyway, you should check out Disciple. They play Splawn as well. And yes...you're right. It will sound way better on my Nitro than it ever did on the Mesa.

Oh yeah man SDS is just killer. I've been listening to them for about a good 4 years now & I have to say they've just gotten better. This new album just kicked my tail on first listen, the standouts for me were "last regret" of yea love that metal & "breaking away" but the whole album was killer. I also REALLY dig on once upon a shattered life. That album was super SICK too. Just killer drop D rocking riffs from start to finish. Pick um up if you can splatter, really worth it. -Brent

Spoke with Brad along with the guys from Fireflight in Sept and they were telling me about their Splawns. Their tones were all awesome! Just have to decide between the QR and the Nitro. What made you choose the Nitro over the QR?
BTW, LOVE your music! Keep up the GOOD work!

I chose the Nitro after talking to Scott about it. I had played a few Quickrods and loved the tone. BUT I had a problem with the ear blistering highs and mids, and not enough lows. I know...that sounds weird. I just love Splawn tone even when the EQ is jacked up! Anyway, he told me the Nitro was the answer to those problems. Having less highs and mids and more lows. Plus he said there was slightly more saturation. (which didn't really matter to me) I like the playability of the Splawn. It's like responds so fast to every pluck of the string. Anyway, the Nitro was just a more modern sounding amp. I play modern rock. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. That is the same problem I'm having with the Marshall JVM - not enough low end thump for the modern rock we play.

the nitro DEFINATELY has low end thump. i thought the QR had a lot of thump but it's not quite the same as the Nitro, which goes BOOOM!

"Missing Pages" is one of me and my son's favorite tunes on our local Christian radio station.
Dude, what are you talking about, you're an excellent player....
It's so awesome to see SDS, Disciple AND Kutless all using Splawn!
