I orderd one friday i think it was ;D. I still haven't decided about the options . The 77's sound good on the video but I'm kinda leaning towards the el34's just cause thats what I'm use too .I don't know how much that would change the tone . I'm leaning towards plexi for the box . Kinda the old school look with the rip your face off tone . But then again the blacked out version would look great with my cab . Its got the black grill cloth with white pipeing . The only thing about that is that my eyes aren't what they use to be and if I'm playing somewhere dark it might be hard to see the knobs. The triangle cut out also looks good . ..........I DON"T KNOW WHAT TO GET . maybe I should let the forum decide on what my head looks like . Hey Brian who did you order your head from ? did they give you an estimate on the wait ?

I've got one on order. Was told I wouldn't see it until Jan. Josh over at Rebel said that he'd try and push for a sooner date. I ordered mine all black, just like one Scott and everybody jammed on. I've got mine loaded with JJ KT88's.

I debate possibly going with some EL34's instead. I do like the EL34 sound, but I'm a little hesitant because of how much the 34's would possibly change the tone. With an amp designed for more of a low mid focus, I wonder if it would be counterproductive going with a tube like the 34's?
That said, I think the 88's would be way too bass heavy for me. The 34's have more than enough low end, so I thought the 77's would be a nice middle ground without the mid focus.
Any thoughts on how the 34's would alter the tone?

Hey guys, my Nitro is supposedly being built already. It's supposed to be the first production Nitro built after the prototype that was seen at the convention. I'm getting mine with SED EL34s and sticking with the blackout look. A few changes include having the background behind the control panel cutout being white (like on an uberschall), instead of the silver like on the prototype. I'm also getting a black metal mesh cutout in front. Here's the mockup I sent Scott: img444.imageshack.us/img444/8528/nitromockupwindsenpanpi3.jpgI also ordered a matching Splawn 412 (block tolex, piping, grill) with the x-pattern big/small blocks. The cab is on it's way. My Nitro should be done by the end of the week. I'm itching to call up Scott to check up on the progress on my Nitro but I know he is ridiculously busy so I'll leave him alone just wait and be patient. It'll be here soon enough =)

Not sure how much the tone would change But I had a diezel einstein with el34's in it and it had bottom for days . The mids killed as well . It was a little short on the top end .That was also a mid to bottom focused amp . that being said I'm kind hesitant about the 77's I want to be able to get some treble out of it . I'm hopeing the 34's will give it more of a Q.R. tone . with the killer low end .

If the Nitro gets here soon enough, I'll post some live footage of it in use when we play with Therion on Nov 2. But, I don't think it'll make it here until about a week after that.
