That was some fun playing that day. I just wished that Shred's guitar was tuned half step down like everyone else's. I had to play everything down a half step and that confuses me when playing lead. LOL!!! Plus it takes away all my open string licks for chickin pickin. LOL!!! Next time Shred....Half step down like everyone said!!! LOL!!

Hey TJ I really liked what I heard from your playing. I liked the little micro cosm of a spec of time carved out when your are doing a little run and then you decide to PHRASE OUT in a slow down type of blues/ country type of lick. Good attention getting playing my man.  By the way, if you were going to order the Nitro, would you order it built just as it sat at the convention in the way of tubes? What were your thoughts on it's tone? And would a different tube choice cure it if you were thinking it was a touch needy? |

;D Yes sir, I agree. Hey some of the best playing I have heard lately is coming from some of the country guys. They give that little pause, and it's like setting the hook when a fish bites. Then ya just reel it in. I ordered a Nitro today from Josh and I have to let him know specs soon. I am leaning towards the amp built just as you guys played it. As far as cosmetics  I'm not sure. I am thinking about making it look just like the other amps Splawn builds, but not sure yet? It has that hit man look all blacked out huh? ;D |

I love the all black look. That thing in person man is just amazing looking. Scott and the crew there are just flat out amazing at what they're doing.

I wish I could get a very, very close up of the front panel. I want to see it up close and then I would know if that's the way for me to go. I have a snakeskin plexi style headbox with silver chassis Pro-stock with el-34's right now, so the Nitro will be a killer combination to own, no-matter what it looks like.  |

Thanks for posting the vids josh. Am I the only one who finds them trebely? Maybe due to the recording quality? It's the mic from the camera cause both those amps were heavy sounding in person. I don't play with that much treble at all. I'm thinking it was the mic for sure. |

Thanks man!! The one thing I love about these vids is that we aren't using any effects at all. It's just straight to the amp. That's why I love these amplifiers Scott makes. They are friggin rock machines!!!
We're making a shirt for next years convention and it's going to say:
Front: I play a Splawn
Back: I rule!!!

Well, I will be at the next convention for sure! I know that I want to get the SuperStock. That clean was unbelievable! TJ....which speakers were used when you tested teh SuperStock on that clip. Same for the Nitro....was Scott using the Big Blocks. Sounded higher wattage to me. Same thing for the SuperStock. Sounded higher wattage.
