Hi i have a 2019 Quickrod 100, i had the amp unplugged for a few days, and power switch off and standby on.I found that when i went to hit the power switch, that there was a 1 second delay before the red power indicator light turned on? Is this normal?
If i shut the power switch off, then waited a couple seconds and turned it back on, that the red light turned right on , but if i kept the amp off for a few minutes ,then hit the power switch again, that there again was a short delay.
I repeated this a few times.I then finally shut the amp off, ..took the amp out of standby, then turned the amp back on, and the red light immediately turned on...and put the amp back in standby and repeated again shutting the amp off and turning it back on with standby on as before, however now the red light turns on immediately...was this maby a case of the amp being unpmugged for a few days, so the Caps maby drained and when i powerd the amp up in standby, the caps were not all fully energized, and taking it out of standby recharged it.so its now acting normal?

I would have to say that is all normal. Like you said the power capacitors are not going to be immediate on/off - so the power light won't either. Tubes take even longer right. ALso, I always go power / standby / play / standby off / power off. You technically do not need a standby switch. I know some guys leave the amp switched on and only turn things on and off at the power strip. But turning things on and off repeatedly just to see what happens with the light seem to just add unneeded wear and tear on those caps. LOVE the blacked out look of your amp BTW

Cool.
Do you have more pics of this amp? I'd love to see it close up. Assuming it has chicken head knobs on it now? I have not see all black marshall knobs before but I'm sure they are out there. The black type knobs like on Mesa Royal Atlantic or Egnater Tweaker series might look cool too.

No i have not, nice chair by the way, and nice amp, that is one thing im looking at next.Is a 2/12 Cab, as this is my first head , and my other amps are combos, so i have my Quickrod 100, hooked up to my Fender 2/12 Twin amp, and am using that for my speakers…im thinking of having Scott build me a 2/12 cab for my Quickrod 100, with the Small block speakers
Will an actual , cab make a difference in my sound of my head? Im actually building another head, witch is a Ceriatone Plexi 101, All access , so im going to need a cab, i think, instead of using my Fender Twin amp 2/12 cab

I didn't know that. How exactly are you connecting to the Twin?
The general consensus is that Splawns work really well with Greenback varieties (like Small Blocks, Scumbacks, other Celestion speakers, and a fairly wide variety of Eminence and WGS speakers. Something that can handle the power and the bass response and the Splawn's mids is what you want. Speakers and cab selection will have huge effect on your tone. More so than anything we've discussed so far. I've heard from others that Scott is super busy so don't know how long it would take to get a new cab from him. Give him a shout.
My story was I ran into a guy on Rig-Talk who was looking for a traditional Marshall Plexi style headshell - which is how my Splawn was born. So we traded his Z28 striped red and black shell for my shell. At that time I had an Avatar 212 with a Celestion Classic Lead 80 and G12H30 OG. But I thought it would be cool to have a matching cab and I really wanted to try Small Blocks so I contacted Scott and he made me a matching cab.

I bought a female coupling connector, so then the male 1/4 jack from the speaker set, plugs in one end and the head in the other

I would definitely have Scott build you a cab with the SB speakers. Run mine through either a Marshall 1936 with one SB and one G12T75 or through a Port City oversized cab with the same speakers. It KILLS.
I recently bought a Splawn 1x12 cab for use with my Kemper. I put a SB in there too. It’s hands down my favorite speaker I’ve ever used. And I’ll say the build quality from Scott is outstanding. You won’t be disappointed.
