Ok. So a few weeks ago the power tubes in my amp decided to die. I picked up a quad of JJ EL34s and a quad of Tung-Sol EL34s. The JJs came in first, so I installed them. I immediately noticed that the amp did not have the top end bite that it previously had. When the Tung-Sols arrived, I went ahead and install those. Set the bias to 32mA- where I usually like the amp to be. For some reason, I'm still missing top end. I've gone through all of the preamp tubes I have at the house, and nothing has given me back the highs. I've also noticed that I've lost a bit of gain on the lead channel. It's like someone put a low pass filter on the amp and clamped down on the high end. I can bring the Treble and Presence up, but it doesn't sound the same.
Anyway... just looking for some thoughts and opinions.

Didn't you post about turning on the amp without a load a couple weeks ago? Or was that someone else? If it was you, I would have a tech look over everything. If it wasn't you, I would put in brand new pre amp tubes and see if it gets its bite back. If not.....take to tech.
