Wow.
I hate to hear that Levi the quick rod guy. That sucks. Was it a renter that did that?
Yeah man, take care of your business. That's what is most important. You don't need to apologize for not posting in here. It is slow as molasses in here in anyway. Take care and come back and update us when you have time.
Peace,

Hello all! Got my business pretty well handled and have been spending more time back with my Splawn. And I have to say my original sentiments are still holding strong. This is how I would sum up each cab.
1960a with Greenbacks (2-75hz, 2-55hz): Cuts through the mix like a hot knife through butter. Forgive me for these next words but they are best I can think of to describe the sound and they are all meant positively.... Hairy, woody, versatile. Tight bottom end that is perhaps more focused and less pronounced. The mids are like I’ve never had mids before. And present but not ice picky highs. I feel like they are perfectly balanced for my ears and taste. The chords seem to be more articulated and I can hear subtleties (and mistakes) more clearly. I will never sell these speakers.
Splawn straight 4x12 with Smallblocks: More of a modern, high powered sound. With loads more bass. Almost too much bass for me. I feel like the nuances of my individual style get a little lost in the sound with this cab. Although I should note that I’m playing in a carpeted room, one cab is sitting on casters whine the Splawn cab is sitting directly on the carpet. I feel like this could effect sound maybe? Anyway these do modern rock and down tuned stuff with my PRS quite well. But when it comes to Southern/Classic/80’s Rock the Greenbacks undeniably best the Smallblocks imo. But at the same time I don’t want to sound too harsh on these speakers. They are certainly better than other speakers I’ve had, and if I didn’t own greenbacks these would be my next choice.
Obviously this is all subjective to my taste and my ears. I’m not pretending one is better than the other, but they are decidedly different speakers and if you ever get a chance to try out both you should definitely do it. Again, I’m going to try to get some clips up when I get it figured out how I’m going to go about recording it.
