I was playing with the eq'ing of my QR and am wondering approximately what frequencies are the presence, bass, mids and treble ? I am trying to isolate a certain frequency and it almost seems as though it is somewhat parametric between them all.. Thanks for any replies, Tom

I sort of know what you mean. Can you isolate it using a different cab?

I have run my QR through 3 different 4x12s. My B cab has old greenies in it and the my other 2 (A) cabs have an x pattern of et65's and celestion g12c's. The high mid cocked wah frequency is present in all 3 but primarily in the one A cab since it isn't completely broken in yet. I know the QR cuts through at gigs and the tone is great, it is nice to have other guitar players say they hate me because of my rig tone. I am just trying to have a better idea of the tonal structure design of these amps..

Maybe if you have an eq pedal you can run it through the loop and experiment with what slider might take out that particular offending frequency?
I’m not sure which particular frequencies the tone knobs sweep through off hand.

I don't know all the particular frequencies either but I believe what you are referring to was dubbed 'weird mids' at some point? Cocked wah?
For me - Treble at 0 (or 7am). Bass at 10am. Mids and Presence around 12 noon. Bad Monkey with the bass up a notch at say 1pm and treble down a notch say 11am. I'm also using a Small Block loaded 212 cab that is set up about chest level.
I also used to run an EQ pedal in the loop like gtrjunior is saying. Very handy. With any amp imo.
